Congratulations! If you’re reading this, you’ve likely survived the turkey-induced food coma and successfully navigated the perils of Black Friday shopping—dodging stampedes of eager bargain hunters with carts full of questionable priorities. Consider this your official badge of honor for passing the first holiday stress test of the season!
Now that we’ve all (hopefully) returned to some semblance of normalcy, it’s time to turn our attention to an important upcoming event: the annual EMA Advisory Committee Meeting. This is a reminder if you have not already done so, mark your calendars for Thursday, December 19, 2024, as we gather to fulfill a vital responsibility—electing the 2025 Fiscal Year EMA Executive Board, as required by Ohio Revised Code 5202.26.
Meeting Details
Date: Thursday, December 19, 2024
Time: 7:30 PM*
Location: Administrative Campus Training Room, Suite 204 (1850 Davids Drive, Wilmington, OH 45177)
*Note: The meeting time has been pushed back by 30 minutes to accommodate the recently announced Clinton County Township Association Meeting scheduled for the same evening at 6 PM.
Why This Meeting Matters
This annual gathering is an opportunity to shape the future of emergency management in Clinton County. It’s a chance to engage in critical planning and oversight for the safety and resilience of our community.
Open Nomination for Board Membership
As we look ahead, we also have an opening for a new board member. One of our current members has decided to step down to dedicate more time to their family and other pursuits. This means the floor is open for nominations to fill this role.
To qualify, nominees must be elected officials (such as a Mayor or Township Trustee). The Chairman, Michael Boyle, will continue to serve as the sole non-elected member of the board.
If you or an elected official in your jurisdiction is interested in joining the EMA Executive Board, please contact me directly at (937) 382-6673 for more information.
