This is your Heads Up Message for Monday and Tuesday (15 & 16 July 2024) for the potential for severe weather.


Details:

  • (Monday & Tuesday) Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed Clinton County in a MARGINAL risk for severe weather.

  • Risks are primarily straight-line winds, which could lead to tree and powerline damage similar to the Sunday event. Periods of heavy rain can lead to localized flooding in prone areas.

  • (Monday & Tuesday) Timing is between 3 pm and 10 pm.

  • (Tuesday only) 2% risk for damaging hail and 5% for damaging winds.

  • Special Weather Statement: The combination of heat and humidity will lead to heat index values near 100 degrees this afternoon and Tuesday. Use caution if planning to be outdoors. Hot and humid conditions will continue through Tuesday.
